Bienvenue dans The Photographer's Ephemeris, un outil de planification de la position du soleil, de la lune et des étoiles pour les photographes en extérieur.
L'idée de TPE nous est tout d'abord venue en mars 2008, lors d'un atelier de photographie de paysages organisé par Glenn Randall, dans le parc national des Montagnes Rocheuses dans le Colorado. À l'époque, l'heure du lever du soleil, son azimut, etc. étaient facilement accessibles en ligne et dans quelques applis.
Glenn a montré à la classe comment reporter et interpréter ces informations sur une carte topographique. Cela nous a semblé être l'occasion de faire ce travail numériquement à l'aide de cartes en ligne : c'est comme ça qu'est né TPE.
La technologie de la photographie continue d'évoluer rapidement mais les principes de base de la lumière naturelle perdurent. TPE pour iOS a considérablement évolué depuis sa première version, en avril 2010, et nous espérons qu'il continuera de se développer au fur et à mesure que les capacités offertes par les appareils mobiles s'améliorent.
